Darius A. Journigan is a Detroit-born, New York City–based actor and director working across film, theatre, and commercial projects for over 20 years. He trained at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Marymount Manhattan College, and further refined his classical craft at Shakespeare & Company’s 2026 Month-Long Intensive, deepening his work in Linklater voice, heightened text, and physically grounded performance.

Darius has performed internationally as Christian in Ruined at the Athens & Epidaurus Festival in Greece and as Hal Carter in Picnic (American Academy of Dramatic Arts). His immersive theatre credits include Adonis Memories (In Our Words), a site-specific immersive production, and Flock (Jump In The Light), an immersive virtual reality experience. Additional stage credits include THE REALNESS/AND THEN THERE WAS HIP HOP and the New York premiere of The Sex Myth: A Devised Play off-Broadway.

On screen, he appeared as Rob in the 2023 feature film McKenzie McCoy and in the short film Clearing House alongside Norbert Leo Butz. He performed in a reading of Fugitive/Slave/Act at the National Black Theatre under the direction of Dennis Hilton-Reid and in How Black Mothers Say I Love You at The Public Theater’s Joe’s Pub under the direction of Tony Award winner Kenny Leon.

After performing in an educational tour of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Shakespeare & Company, Darius went on to direct The Tempest and Hamlet in their Fall Festival of Shakespeare.
